Omotesando Antique Street Tokyo October -Window- WINDOW GALLERY
Tokyo October opened in October 2010 on the B1 floor of the Ohara School of Japanese Literature, located along Omotesando Antique Street. The restaurant serves carefully selected wines, delicious sake from small sake breweries around the country, and creative Japanese cuisine made with seasonal ingredients. The restaurant's appearance is based on Japanese architecture, and the interior was designed by French sculptor Ante Vojnovic. The interior is decorated in black and vermilion, surrounded by art tables of light and water, and the tableware is by Astier de Villatte.
Tokyo October: The origin of the store name
October is the month in the year when the most cultural events are held in Tokyo. Fashion, art, design, architecture, music, movies, books... as well as the people who run the events, the creators who participate, and the visitors who are interested in culture who come to see them. Many creative people from Japan and abroad gather in Tokyo.
Tokyo October hopes to continue to be a place where such people can gather casually at any time and play the role of a place for cultural exchange.
While it is a creative Japanese restaurant that offers dishes using carefully prepared seasonal ingredients, it also operates the WINDOW GALLERY at the entrance to the restaurant. It is also popular as a venue for imaginative events and a place for many creators, both professional and amateur, to present their work.
We hope that all visitors to the Ohara School of Tea Ceremony and other venues will be able to appreciate the artworks and experience a variety of rich sensitivities while enjoying their meals.
