東京十月 Artist Event

Tokyo October Artist Event

We held a reception party at Tokyo Jugatsu, welcoming illustrator Airi Kuroda.

Over 30 pieces of her artwork were displayed, including previously unreleased works in Japan, under the theme "NICE HOLIDAY". These were showcased in various locations throughout the venue, such as the "WINDOW" at the entrance, the red wall inside, and the raised tatami room.

The venue, featuring art tables and filament lighting, attracted many people, including artists. Many could be seen enjoying conversations with drinks in hand while appreciating the artwork.

It was a lively evening where the space, the artwork, and the energy of all the visitors resonated with each other.

Her diverse activities include providing illustrations for apparel brands, mainly for advertisements in magazines, books, commercial facilities, and department stores. She also created the Christmas visuals for all "ecte" commercial facilities inside train stations and designed artwork for the goods of the three-piece rock band "My Hair is Bad." In recent years, she has held a solo exhibition at Spiral in Minami-Aoyama and a POP-UP shop at Isetan Shinjuku.

During the "WINDOW" exhibition at Tokyo Jugatsu, her work "Laid Back" was simultaneously displayed at the Lumine NEWoMan Shinjuku 2F WINDOW Display.

The interior of Tokyo Jugatsu is an art space designed by French sculptor Ante Vojnovic.

October is the month when the most cultural events are held in Tokyo. Tokyo Jugatsu, as its name suggests, aims to be a place for the many creative people who gather in Tokyo in October. It is supported not only as a restaurant but also as a venue for imaginative events.

Seasonal colors and drinks add glamour to a special moment.

It is a magnetic place where conversations bloom and new connections are born.

Music is also available as an important essence that creates the atmosphere.

Airi Kuroda's vibrant works were displayed for approximately two months in the "WINDOW" at the entrance of the store.

The artist's worldview was expressed in a window measuring 1480 mm wide x 1050 mm high x 400 mm deep.
