Airi Kuroda Reception Party

We held a reception party at October in Tokyo, welcoming illustrator Airi Kuroda (@kurodaairii).

More than 30 works, including some not yet exhibited in Japan, will be exhibited in the "Window" at the store entrance, as well as on the red walls and raised Japanese-style room inside the store, with the theme of "NICE HOLIDAY."

The venue, characterized by its art tables and filament lights, was filled with artists and many other people who could be seen appreciating the artworks while enjoying conversation over a drink.

It was a vibrant evening in which the energy of the space, the works, and the visitors all resonated together.

In addition to providing illustrations for magazines, books, commercial facilities, department stores, and apparel brands, he is also in charge of the Christmas visuals for all stores in the station commercial facility ecte, and has been involved in the artwork for the goods of the three-piece rock band "My Hair is Bad." In recent years, he has held a solo exhibition at Spiral in Minamiaoyama and a POPUPSHOP at Isetan Shinjuku.

During the Tokyo October "Window" -WINDOW- exhibition, the work "Laid Back" was also exhibited at the WINDOW Display on the 2nd floor of Lumine NEWoMan Shinjuku.

Airi Kuroda's artworks stand out vividly in the art space, whose interior was designed by French sculptor Ante Vojonovic.

October is the month when the most cultural events are held in Tokyo. As its name suggests, Tokyo October is not only a restaurant, but also a place for imaginative events, and we want to continue to be a place for the many creative people who gather in Tokyo in October.
