【About ASTIER de VILLATTE】
Known for its white-glazed ceramics, Astier de Villatte was founded in 1996 by Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte, creators of furniture, ceramics, objects, fragrances, and books.
Astier de Villatte ceramics are made with black earth from the suburbs of Paris and a pure white glaze. Each piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in their Parisian atelier, making them truly "Made in Paris" vessels. Drawing inspiration from traditional 19th-century pottery and incorporating a twist on the sculptural techniques learned at the École des Beaux-Arts, these pieces exude a dignified presence, like a canvas that enhances food and paintings.

The bottom of the pottery is engraved with the intertwined A and V of the brand logo and the initials of the craftsman who made it. Also, some products may have three spots where the glaze appears to be chipped, which are marks from the stand used to fire the pottery after glazing. These are not defects. Please note that there is no Tokyo Jukko branding.
To ensure long-lasting use, please observe the following precautions:
・Avoid using in microwave ovens and ovens. Sudden temperature changes can cause crazing (cracks) and breakage.
・Hand washing is recommended, but if using a dishwasher, wash at a water temperature of 55°C or less to avoid affecting the glaze.
・For dishwasher detergent, please use phosphate-free detergent.
・When hand washing, use a soft sponge and dish soap. Avoid using hard scrub brushes, metal scrub brushes, or abrasives, as these may cause scratches.
Variations in glaze, slight distortions or wobbles, and asymmetry are characteristics of the product. Please note that returns or exchanges based on these characteristics or quality will not be accepted. Additionally, there may be differences in the application of glaze between the product shown in the photo and the actual product delivered, but these are considered individual differences within the range of good quality products, and returns or exchanges will not be accepted for this reason.
