【About ASTIER de VILLATTE】

 Known for its ceramics with white glaze, Astier de Villatte is a brand founded in 1996 by Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte, who are creators of furniture, ceramics, objects, fragrances, and books.

Astier de Villatte's ceramics, which apply a pure white glaze to black clay from the suburbs of Paris, are "Made in Paris" vessels created by skilled artisans in their workshops in Paris. Drawing inspiration from traditional 19th-century vessels, and adding a twist to the sculpting techniques learned at the Beaux-Arts school, these vessels exude a dignified presence, like a canvas that enhances food and paintings.

【Handling Instructions / Precautions】

The bottom of the ceramic is engraved with the brand's logo, interlocking A and V letters, and the initials of the craftsman who made it. Also, some products may have three spots where the glaze appears to be chipped, which are traces from the stand used when firing the glazed ceramic. This is not a defect.Please note that there is no Tokyo Jukko engraving.

【Important Notes for Use】

To ensure long-lasting use, please observe the following precautions:
・Avoid using in microwave ovens or conventional ovens. Sudden temperature changes can cause crazing (cracks) or breakage.
・Hand washing is recommended, but if using a dishwasher, wash at a water temperature of 55°C or lower to avoid affecting the glaze.
・When using a dishwasher, please use a phosphate-free detergent.
・When hand washing, use a soft sponge and dish soap. Avoid using hard scrubbers, metal scrubbers, or abrasives, as they may cause scratches.

Variations in glaze, slight warping or wobbling, and asymmetry are characteristics of the product. Please note that we cannot accept returns or exchanges based on these characteristics or quality. Also, there may be differences in the application of the glaze between the photos and the actual product delivered, but these are considered individual differences within the range of good quality products, so returns or exchanges based on this will not be accepted.
