[About ASTIER de VILLATTE]

 Known for their ceramics covered in white glaze, Astier de Villatte is a brand founded in 1996 by Ivan Pericoli and Benoît Astier de Villatte, who create furniture, ceramics, objects, fragrances, and books.

Astier de Villatte ceramics, made from black clay from the Parisian suburbs and covered with a pure white glaze, are "Made in Paris" pieces crafted by skilled artisans in their atelier within the city of Paris. Drawing inspiration from traditional 19th-century pottery, and adding their own twist to the sculpting techniques learned at the École des Beaux-Arts, these pieces exude a dignified presence, like a canvas that enhances the dishes and paintings they hold.

[Care Instructions and Precautions]

The intertwined letters A and V, the brand's logo, and the initials of the craftsman who made it are engraved on the bottom of the pottery. In addition, some products may have three spots where the glaze appears chipped, which are marks from the support used when firing the glazed pottery. These are not defects.Please note that there is no Tokyo October name engraving.

[Usage Precautions]

To ensure long-lasting use, please observe the following precautions:
・Avoid using in microwave ovens or conventional ovens. Sudden temperature changes can cause crazing (cracks) and breakage.
・Hand washing is recommended, but if using a dishwasher, wash at a water temperature of 55°C or less to avoid affecting the glaze.
・When using a dishwasher, please use non-phosphate detergent.
・When hand washing, use a soft sponge and dish soap. Avoid using hard scrub brushes, metal scrubbers, or abrasives, as they may cause scratches.

Irregularities in the glaze, slight distortions or wobbles, and asymmetry are characteristics of the product. Please note that returns or exchanges based on these characteristics or quality will not be accepted. Also, while there may be differences in the application of the glaze between the photos and the actual product delivered, these are considered individual differences within the range of good quality products, and returns or exchanges for this reason will not be accepted.
