A colorful work using the tapestry weaving technique
Tapestry weaving allows for free expression of patterns by weaving weft threads into warp threads.
The work, woven over time,is placed in the "Beautiful Window" frame.
By framing it without glass, the texture of the work can be appreciated directly.

Kei ArakiBorn in Tokyo in 1998.Graduated from Tama Art University, Textile Department in 2021, completed graduate school at the same university in 2023. Communicating through the creation of contemporary tapestries, just as tapestries have historically depicted the power and wealth of rulers. In this information age, I wonder if textiles carefully woven by hand over a long period can convey something to people's hearts. |
