Eureka November 1960 issue
This is the 50th volume of Eureka, and it is a valuable back issue of the literary magazine, featuring translations of foreign poetry and critiques by authors such as Narahara Ikko, Iijima Koichi, Kiyooka Takuyuki, Shibusawa Tatsuhiko, Manabe Hiroshi, and Cho Shinta.
[Narahara Ikko ( About the photographer (1931-2020): Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, he is one of Japan's leading contemporary photographers. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Chuo University in 1954 and studied art history at Waseda University Graduate School. He made his debut with "Human Land" in 1956, formed the group "VIVO" in 1959, and spent time in Paris and New York. He was active internationally and received high praise for his numerous photo books and exhibitions, including "The Kingdom" and "Europe: Time Stands Still."
About Takuyuki Kiyooka (1992-2006): Born in Dalian, China in 1922, he was a poet, novelist, and critic. After graduating from the French Literature Department of the University of Tokyo, he worked in the Central League office before making his debut with the poetry collection "Frozen Flame" and winning the Akutagawa Prize for his novel "Acacia no Dalian." He taught at Hosei University, and until his later years, he relied on "Dalian" and "Paris" as sources of inspiration for his work. He served as a member of the Japan Art Academy until his death in 2006 at the age of 83.
