東京十月 Artist Reception Event

Tokyo in October Artist Reception Event

We held a reception party at Tokyo Jugatsu, featuring illustrator Airi Kuroda.

Over 30 works, including previously unreleased pieces in Japan themed "NICE HOLIDAY," were displayed. These were exhibited in various spaces such as the "WINDOW" at the shop's entrance, the red walls inside the shop, and the raised tatami room.

The venue, characterized by its art tables and filament lighting, drew many people, including artists. Many were seen enjoying conversations with drinks in hand while appreciating the artworks.

It was a vibrant night where the energy of the space, the artworks, and all who attended seemed to resonate together.

Illustrator Airi Kuroda

Airi Kuroda's activities are diverse, including providing illustrations for apparel brands, advertisements for magazines, books, commercial facilities, and department stores. She was also responsible for the Christmas visuals for all "ecte" commercial facilities inside train stations and created artwork for the merchandise of the three-piece rock band "My Hair is Bad." In recent years, she has held solo exhibitions at Spiral in Minami Aoyama and pop-up shops at Isetan Shinjuku.

During the "WINDOW" exhibition at Tokyo Jugatsu, her work "Laid Back" was simultaneously unveiled at the Lumine NEWoMan Shinjuku 2F Window Display.

The interior of Tokyo Jugatsu is an art space designed by French sculptor Ante Vojnovic.

October is the month when the most cultural events are held in Tokyo. As its name suggests—"We want to remain a shop for the many creative people who gather in Tokyo in October"—Tokyo Jugatsu is supported not only as a restaurant but also as a venue for imaginative events.

Seasonal colors and drinks add glamor to special moments.

It is a magnetic place where conversations bloom and new connections are made everywhere.

Music is also an essential element that creates the atmosphere.

The "WINDOW" at the shop's entrance featured a colorful exhibition of Airi Kuroda's work for about two months.

The artist's world was expressed in a window measuring 1480 mm wide x 1050 mm high x 400 mm deep.
